In 711, the Moors invaded Spain via Gibraltar; the start of the Moorish occupation, and a period during which Arabic influences mixed with the Spanish culture. The Moorish oppression left its traces in Spanish cuisine.

The Moorish culinary traditions are characterised by a blend of Arabic and Spanish dishes based on aromatic herbs, spicy sauces, delicate tastes and a great variation in vegetables and fruit. All of this combined with high-quality wines and an attractive interior with an eastern touch.
